of the Defense Data Network (ARPAnet/Internet)?

Here's what NIC/DDN registration does for you:

(1) It allows people to locate you by looking you up in the NIC database with
    the NICNAME or WHOIS command available on many systems.

(2) It enables you to get a MILNET TAC access card, which in turn lets you
    dial up MILNET TAC's (modems giving you direct access to the Internet --
    may be useful when you're traveling).

If you wish to be registered, please make a copy of the form below, edit
it to include your own information, and mail it to ME@SAIL.  If you want
a MILNET TAC access card, change the final "N" in the form to "Y".
